Political Advocacy
- The staff of LADA works to monitor the ever-changing status of governmental regulations on the automobile industry. Areas include, but are not limited to: titles, taxes, leasing, insurance, and dealer licensing.
- Established by the LADA Board of Directors, the LADA-PAC is a statewide political action committee which promotes LADA's legislative program. LADA-PAC supports only candidates running for, or elected to, the Louisiana House of Representatives, the Louisiana Senate, and occasionally, statewide offices such as Governor, Commissioner of Insurance and, Attorney General.
- While LADA speaks for the dealers of Louisiana, NADA is our collective voice on national legislation and regulatory manners. LADA is proud to assist in NADA's efforts to fund the only political group that represents franchised dealers on both imported and domestic new cars and trucks. The NADA-PAC provides financial assistance to the election campaigns of pro-dealer, pro-business candidates to the U.S. House and Senate.
Programs & Events
- The Annual Convention is held each summer and 2022 marks the 83rd Annual LADA Convention. The Annual Convention offers our dealers and associates the opportunity to network organically and attend industry-specific seminars. Families are encouraged and invited to join us for a full agenda of food, fun, and fellowship.
- The Annual Golf Tournament & Shrimp Feast is held each fall and is a great opportunity to get better acquainted with other LADA members. Through the generous support of our associate members, we giveaway over 100 amazing door prizes after the tournament and the ever-popular Shrimp Feast concludes the day.
- LADA offers a series of Regional Legislative Seminars for its dealers leading up to the Regular Legislative Session. Exclusively offered for dealers and endorsed sponsor members, these seminars provide the latest updates on important legislative and regulatory issues affecting our industry.
- As the world shut down in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic, LADA ramped up its educational offerings with providing free webinars to members throughout the year.
Legal Assistance
- As an LADA member, you have access to two, full-service law firms: Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP is available for phone consultations on franchise and general business issues and the firm Fisher & Phillips, LLP is available for questions pertaining to employment and labor issues.
Workers' Compensation & Safety, DEQ, & OSHA Compliance Programs
- The LADA Self-Insurers' Trust Fund (LADA-SIF) is the only workers' compensation program made up of automobile dealers, run by automobile dealers, for automobile dealers. No one knows more about workers' compensation in dealerships than the LADA-SIF.
- Through its third-party administrator, Risk Management Services, losses are controlled through outstanding claims administration and excellent loss control. - Under the direction of KPA, and in conjunction with the LADA-SIF, LADA provides consultation services to its members on a wide variety of issues dealing with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, the Department of Labor, as well as other regulatory agencies.
- Participants in LADA's workers' compensation program are offered on-site safety inspections with online employee training sessions, and are provided Compliance Manuals.
Health & Hospitalization Insurance
- The LADA Insurance Company (LADIT, Inc.) is a major medical hospitalization program designed with automobile dealers in mind. With over 200 dealerships enrolled covering more than 10,000 employees, LADIT, Inc. administers this competitively priced program with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana.
