Cloid is the president of White Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, LLC, and is a resident of Franklin Parish. The dealership is located in Winnsboro and has been in business since 1957. Cloid began work in the service department as a service advisor in 1976. After several years in service, he moved into sales, then became general manager, with his work experience culminating as dealer principal in 1989. He is also the president of White Holdings LLC, Circle Finance LLC, Circle Wholesale LLC, and a general partner of Pepper Investments.

In 1998, White Ford-Lincoln-Mercury received the President's Award, Ford Motor Company's highest honor. With high CSI scores and good business practices, White Ford-Lincoln-Mercury has consecutively won many Distinguished Service Awards. Their goal at the dealership is centered on customer loyalty. Over the past year, their customer loyalty ratings have ranged from 42% to 57%, the 57% being the highest level in the nation and the 42% ranking is over 10% higher than the regional average.

In 2001, Cloid was nominated out of thousands of quality dealers across the country, as one of TIME Magazine's Quality Dealer Award finalists, which honors dealers with outstanding performances as automobile dealers, as well as valued citizens of their communities.

Cloid has served as Zone Chairman twice and as a District Dealer Council Member representing Ford dealers. Since 1993, he has served on the Board of the Southern Quality Ford Dealers Advertising Fund, and is currently Vice-Chairman and a member of the Executive Committee. Cloid was on the LADA Board from 1995-99, and a member of the Executive Committee.
