Larry began his automotive career in 1966 at Royal Oldsmobile in Metairie. In 1975, he purchased Colonial Buick, at which time he organized Crown Buick, a new corporation. In 1977, Larry moved his Buick dealership to Metairie, where he constructed one of the premier automobile dealerships in the New Orleans area. In 1987, the GMC Truck franchise was added.

Crown Buick has enjoyed remarkable success and has won numerous factory awards. Larry was named president of the National Dealer Council 1988-1989, president of the Buick Zone Dealer Council, president of the Buick Area Dealer Council, Best in Class Dealer in 1991-1992, and named a Select Sixty Dealer. Larry was on the General Motors President's Dealer Advisory Council in 1989.

Larry and over 50 other top dealers in the country were recognized at the TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award ceremonies during the 1994 NADA Convention in San Francisco.
