Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association's
2007 Dealer of the Year
Sharon grew up in the car business. Her father was a General Motors dealer in Oklahoma and in Texas, and at one point she worked in his dealership's office. Sharon's last formal job was with a local television station as an account representative selling advertising. Her late husband, Bill Moss, became a dealer in 1979 and Sharon handled the advertising and promotions for his dealership, Moss Motors. Upon his death in 1989, Sharon became the dealer operator and the rest is history!
Her awards have been numerous, including the Honda Presidents Award for five consecutive years, Women Who Mean Business Award, Work Magazine's CEO of the Month, Planned Giving Council of Acadiana Philanthropist of the Year Award, and Better Business Bureau Integrity Award.
Sharon's involvement in the community is an important part of her life, and she believes that giving back is part of her success. Her activities include Premier Sponsor of the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana Running of the Ducks, the Acadiana Arts Council, Acadiana Cares, American Cancer Society, Hospice of Acadiana, UL of Lafayette Art Museum Board, and docent at the Lafayette Natural History Museum and Planetarium, as well as Board Member.
